How long does it take to heat up?
On average about 40–50 minutes to reach ~170°F, depending on the outdoor temperature. The 8kW Harvia Virta is designed for consistent, reliable heat — and with Wi-Fi pre-heat, you can start it from your phone so it's ready when you are.

Can people see inside?
No — the dual mirrored Parsol dark-grey glass is two-way: you see your surroundings clearly from inside, while from outside the glass reflects the landscape and conceals the interior. The door is lockable.

What's the difference between a wet and dry sauna?
A dry sauna runs at low humidity; a wet sauna lets you pour water over the heated stones to create steam. Both are safe with the Harvia heater — it's personal preference.

Do I need an electrician?
Yes — the 8kW Harvia Virta heater must be hardwired at 240V by a licensed electrician; the lighting typically runs on a 110V, 15-amp circuit. That's the only professional trade the installation requires.

What does it cost to run?
The 240V heater draws power only while in use — roughly comparable to running an electric oven or dryer, typically just cents per session. Turning it off when not in use conserves energy.

How does delivery day actually work?
The Vera arrives fully assembled on a flatbed trailer, and you're notified about two weeks ahead to prepare. A forklift or crane lifts it into position — so the main planning task is a clear path and the right equipment on site. Once it's placed and the electrician connects the heater, it's ready to use.
